Richie’s Save a Dog Foundation began with one man’s deep love for animals—and a heartbreaking realization. Too many families are forced to surrender or euthanize their beloved pets simply because they can’t afford lifesaving treatment.
Founded by Richard Troia, an advocate for animals and a lifelong dog lover, our mission is simple:
No pet should suffer—or die—because of money.
To help families in crisis keep their beloved pets by covering emergency medical costs that would otherwise force heartbreaking decisions. Inspired by the belief that no one should have to surrender a pet due to financial hardship, RSADF was created as a safety net—providing hope, support, and lifesaving aid to pets and their families when they need it most.
A Major Milestone
We’re thrilled to announce a transformative milestone in our journey: RSADF has been gifted a multi-million-dollar property in Deerfield Beach, Florida. This generous donation marks a new chapter for the foundation and opens the door to expanded community impact and financial sustainability.
Our Vision: Café Lounge for a Cause
As part of our long-term vision, we are developing a vibrant café lounge on-site. More than just a coffee shop, the café will serve as a gathering place for animal lovers and supporters. Most importantly, it will donate the majority of its proceeds directly to RSADF, helping us fund emergency veterinary care for families in need.
How You Can Help
We are in the early stages of this exciting expansion and are actively seeking passionate partners, donors, volunteers, and community leaders to join us in bringing this vision to life. Together, we can create a compassionate future where no pet is left behind due to financial barriers.
